On Thursday evening Donna and I were the guests of State President Red and Jane Kehler, the Grand Lodge Family and the Ohio State Officers for a Meet & Greet” Cocktail Reception and Dinner.

On Fiday Morning I attended the Governing Board and Trustees Meetings.  Lunch was hosted by the Ohio Past State Presidents Association.  After lunch I attended the Advisory Council Meeting.  After lunch, PGER Nicholson and I had a very informative meeting with the Ohio District Deputies.

Friday morning Donna was off to the North Market for the Ladies Luncheon and a visit to the Morgan House.

On Friday evening, a cocktail reception was held in our honor.  During the social hour, Donna and I were presented with terrific gifts by the State Association President Red and Jane Kehler, PGER Jim and Mary Carolyn Nicholson, Linda Stanley and from each of the Ohio Districts.  After the cocktail reception Donna and I and Jim and Mary Carolyn Nichelson attended casual Fun Night where we enjoyed a delicious  buffet dinner followed by dancing and karaoke.  Donna and I enjoyed the evening and had the opportunity to meet many new friends.

During the Fun Night, GER Mike Zellen joined the group dancing the Cupid Shuffle and also sang an old favorite Bobby Vinton tune, Roses are Red.

Donna and I attended the Association’s Business Session on Saturday Morning.  We were both very impressed with the many fine reports and awards presented during the meeting.  The reports were informative and truly show that Ohio Elks truly demonstrate my motto “Elks ~ Leading the Way”.
