During the Fun Night, GER Mike Zellen joined the group dancing the Cupid Shuffle and also sang an old favorite Bobby Vinton tune, Roses are Red.
Donna and I attended the Association’s Business Session on Saturday Morning. We were both very impressed with the many fine reports and awards presented during the meeting. The reports were informative and truly show that Ohio Elks truly demonstrate my motto “Elks ~ Leading the Way”.
After lunch there were various breakout sessions including ENF, Hoop Shoot, Americanism, Youth Activities, Government Relations and Drug Awareness. There was also a meeting and clinic of the Ohio Major Project; Children with Cerebral Palsy.
During the meeting, Eric and Valerie Jones joined the meeting with their three daughters; Sidney, Brook and Camille. Camille is afflicted with CP. Her mother Valerie Jones gave an emotional talk about having a child with CP
In addition to First Lady Donna and GER Mike are State President Red Kehler, the Jones Family, Dennis G. Grant, Executive Director of United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton and Deb Bingham, OEA State Cerebral Palsy.
